Well I’m having a grand time in San Francisco.  Today I went for Dim Sum with a two friends one old and one new.  The new friend thought that her daughter would be interested in my art project and wanted to introduce her to me.  So I suggested she join us for brunch.  When I got picked up at the hotel my old friend said that my new friend’s daughter almost lost a nut when she found out who her mother wanted to introduce her to.  Evidently I’m her hero??…lol WOW…never had that before.  She had heard about my project several years ago from Marilyn Wann fat activist and author of “Fat So?!”  I was pretty thrilled to say the least.  We had a lovely lunch and then went shopping for a corsete at Dark Garden where they custom fit them for you.  I’m considering using it as part of my costume for my Art Prize performance.  It was really great.  I’m playing with the idea of either wearing a Moo Moo with all the names that people call fat people or wearing a sexy revealing corseted out fit with the same decoration.  I might even alternate days and to see the responses change from audience to audience, outfit to outfit. 

I have also invited my young fan to come to Ann Arbor for a month to help with the installation.  Not sure if she will be able to do it.  But it would be fun to have captive art slave who is very inspired to help.  I will post a picture of me at the corsete fitting as soon as I get it downloaded.

I went diet book hunting at local thrift shop…and got a whole huge box of them that my friends will have shipped to me back in Michigan.  I wish I could clean out the city …but it’s just nice to know I that have removed a few more of these toxic tomes from the store shelves and away from possible dieters.
